Tomorrow is going to be hard to stay on track.. up at 5am, home at 10:30pm. Yikes!!
In good news though.. I received an unexpected scholarship yesterday so I can take more "ME" time to work out and cook good meals now, since I don't have to work quite as much...
And, I am STOKED to have two followers. Thanks ladies!! It's nice to see other people along the same path I am... Your blogs inspire me :)

Starting next Tuesday, I will be attending with my friend Tina.
I'm super excited for the following reasons...
1) I've always wanted to try kickboxing, I hear it's one of the best workouts!
2) It's a scheduled class so I feel as if I have no choice but to go and
3) It gives me a reason to see Tina every week!! Considering I haven't been able to do that since we were 3 or 4, I am crazy stoked!
I have a feeling next Tuesday night / Wednesday I will be cursing the trainer and regret the decision to sign up.. However knowing that a month later I will be at least somewhat stronger and more fit, is totally worth the pain. *Note to self, remember this a week from now hehe.*

I just ran up and down long flights of stairs, across a short 4 lane bridge and another 40m to catch my bus and I am out of breath!! How sad eh??
Sigh... And THAT is why diet and being thin is not enough. To truly be healthy I need to exercise more. I guess the only good thing to take from this is that I ran further and it took me less time to catch my breath than it did last week... Hopefully that means my stair climbing and walking is working. *fingers crossed*
Any other recommendations to help me incorporate exercise into my daily routine are welcome!! Unfortunately I'm a full time university accounting student in her final year who also works full time, so my daily routine includes a lot of sitting on my butt in class, at work and of course studying.
Hopefully I can attract some followers soon who can exchange ideas with me.

Speaking of the Biggest Loser, does anyone else watch that show while eating a big bowl of ice cream or a bowl of potato chips and a can of pop?? Yea, me neither *shifty eyes* ... I feel so guilty about it that I actually have started to scarf down my junk food just before the show starts, 'cause that makes it better! See my logic? Yea.. me neither. That being said, those people inspire me to make a change. And one of the suggestions was to write it down, and I feel that even if I don't know poeple out in the vast cyber world, that somehow.. if I blog about this I will feel more accountable for my actions.
So my goal is to lose 20 lbs and 6 inches in three months; leaving my 'final' weigh-in date to be April 24th.
Anyway, here are the digits at opening weigh in, January 24th, 2010! *drumroll please*
Weight: 183 lbs
Bust: 39 1/2"
Height: (Just to give you an idea.. 5'9-5;10")
While my first meal had good aspects to it (lean proteins, fresh vegetables) I kinda blew it on dessert. I had chicken fajitas (no cheese or sour cream) with a couple glasses of water and here's the kicker.. Pumpkin Pie for dessert. Yikes, old habits die hard.
Please feel free to offer weight loss suggestions. Preferably low-cost options as I am a struggling student. (And by that I mean outdoor activities such as skating, not starve yourself 'cause it's cheaper..)
This blog is to journalize my journey towards a number of difficult goals of mine, and hopefully will help me to battle through the rough moments.
Hopefully, it provides some insightful do's / dont's for you as well if you're chasing the same goal...
That being said, goal #1? Lose weight!
So my SMART goal is
S: lose weight and inches!
M: 20 lbs, 6 inches!
A: I hope so!
R: realistic... so let's say 3 months.
T: I actually forget what T stands for.. so let's say timing which is covered under R ;)
... off to the grocery store!!!!
